About me

Let’s get to know each other

my roots

I grew up a gooey-butter-cake, toasted-ravioli eating, Cardinals baseball fan in St. Louis, Missouri (“I’m from the Lou and I’m proud” anyone? @Nelly). My two amazing parents helped guide both my brother and I towards successful and fulfilling careers. They made a ton of sacrifices to send us to the best schools and give us all the opportunities we had available to us. A big part of the reason I fell into my career path was due to their influence. My dad coached my softball team and ran two half marathons with me during my cross country days. My mom and I bonded over learning how to lift weights and cook fun new recipes together. The impact both of them had on my life, in addition to my desire to work with and help people, helped me into the career I am in now.

my education

I obtained my personal training certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2013, while I was still in high school. Shortly thereafter, I started studying Nutritional Sciences at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) with the goal of attending medical school. While attending Mizzou, I worked as a personal trainer, yoga instructor, and pilates instructor. My passion for coaching and nutrition came with my work and studies. I came to understand I wanted to be part of the solution instead of trying to fix problems after they've occurred, and decided to go into the nutrition and fitness field instead of attending medical school. Since graduating with my Bachelors of Science in 2017, I have coached hundreds of clients and have loved every minute of it. I have obtained specialist certifications as a Weight Management Specialist and a Behavior Change Specialist through ACE, and I am continuously researching the newest and best ways to coach my clients from the best voices in the industry. I immerse myself in this industry; it is my absolute passion to learn and excel in my job and I always strive to be up to date.
